Authentic Hummus Recipe

The secret to authentic hummus is not love but effort. There are too many shortcuts around cooking these days. So ditch the canned chickpeas and if you can, make your own tahini. By cooking from scratch, take your dip game to the next level.

Ingredients:
2 cups raw dry chickpeas
1/2 cup tahini
4 tablespoons olive oil
Lemon juice from a whole lemon
4 garlic cloves
1 dry red chilli
Instructions:
Soak the chickpeas overnight. In the morning remove the skin for a smoother dip but this is not mandatory. Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor into a smooth paste. Add an ice cube or two if you'd like a thicker consistency.
Serve with more olive drizzled on top and a dash of paprika.
